What Can't Money Buy?
I think that in the present world, we can't live without money. We need money for everything from food to education. There are a few things which don't need money. Most people think that money can buy everything, but can it buy happiness?Happiness, peace, trust, patience, wisdom, faith, humility, respect and many more things can't be bought by money. They are important characteristics or qualities needed in us as we grow up. We can't live without them. Let me explain about a few of the characteristics that money can't buy.
We can experience happiness by spending time with our family, relaxing after a day of hard work, etc. Money can buy only short-lived happiness that is felt when we buy something cool or new, or when we get something that we really like. Real happiness comes from within us and can be felt at all times. We can earn respect only if we work hard and prove others that we have the capability to do the task given to us. We can't buy wisdom either. Parents have more wisdom than us as they have more experience living in this world. Reading books, listening to elders and learning from our mistakes are a few of the ways through which we can improve our wisdom. In order to achieve more things in life, we need to be humble. Thinking too much about our-self isn't a good thing. When we are humble, we respect other's choices. If their way is better than ours, we can accept that and learn more from them.
Many people do think that they can lead happy lives only with the large amount of money that they have. Those people at some point of time during their lives, feel like something is missing in their life which they aren't sure of. Their happiness, peace of mind and respect are all lost. Do we really need to fall into that situation?
Money can satisfy us only for a short amount of time. We should try to build up good qualities in us, be open minded and try out new things. Being dependant only on money isn't going to help us in life. That is why I strongly believe, that we should try to enjoy the life given to us, help others and make the best out of it.
