PIRATE SHIPS
Pirates were one of the most terrifying people ever thought to exist. They
used to rule the seas with their vandalising ships. A few of the famous pirate
ships were "Adventure Gally", "Queen Anne's revenge", "Fancy",
"Whydah", "Royal fortune(s)" and "CSS Alabama".
Pirate ships were built very heavy with big sails supported by very long
wooden masts. Crow's nests were way up at the top of the masts. Pirates climbed
into to it to be on a lookout for other ships or land with their spyglasses.
The decks were the places where the pirates met together and sang shanties. The
ships also contained a captain's cabin, where the captain spent most of his or
her time. Below the main deck were two levels. The first level of the ship is
where the rest of the pirates spent most of their time. Onto the inner sides of
the walls, hammocks were hung and bunks were made for sleeping. The last level
was the storage area, where all their loot and necessary supplies were kept.
A few of the most functioning ships were pirate ships. They were meant for
battling and destroying other pirate ships. These ships could be spotted with
the common ‘Jolly Rodger’. Even though there aren’t any pirates or pirate ships now, the craze
for them is still evident in the movies.
